ABOUT POCO SLO-PITCH

The PoCo Slo-Pitch League has been a part of the Port Coquitlam community since 1981.

What started as a small group of teams getting together for some friendly competition has grown into a long-standing local tradition. Like many slo-pitch leagues across British Columbia, the early years were built around community fields, volunteer organizers, and a shared love of the game.

A Community League

or over four decades, the PoCo Slo-Pitch League has remained focused on what matters most:

  • Fun, recreational play
  • Friendly competition
  • Sportsmanship and respect
  • Bringing people together through sport

Games are played at local diamonds throughout Port Coquitlam, with teams made up of players of all skill levels and experience.

Built by Players

The league has always been run by volunteers, players and community members who step up to organize schedules, coordinate teams, and keep things running smoothly season after season.

That community-driven approach is a big part of what makes PoCo Slo-Pitch special.

Then and Now

From its beginnings in 1981 to today, the league has continued to evolve while staying true to its roots:

  • Adapting to new players and teams
  • Growing with the community
  • Maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment

Whether you’ve been playing for years or are new to the game, the PoCo Slo-Pitch League is all about getting out, having fun, and being part of the local community.
